Who we are

Crownrig Training LLC operates a training school at 480 Riverbend Road, Asheville, North Carolina 28806. We are responsible for the personal information described below.

What we collect

Enquiries

Name, contact details, employer and whatever you tell us about your climbing experience. We use it to answer the enquiry and to recommend a course.

Enrollment and training records

Candidate records include the enrollment form, medical disclosures made before climbing, attendance, assessment evidence and the outcome. Assessment records are retained for seven years, which is the period an awarding body or an employer may reasonably need to verify a credential.

Medical disclosures

Information disclosed so that instructors can plan for a candidate's safety is seen by the instructor team only, is not recorded in the assessment file, and is destroyed at the end of the course unless you ask us to retain it for a future booking.

Incident records

Where an incident or near miss occurs, we record what happened and who was involved. These records are retained indefinitely because they inform how the school runs, and are anonymized in the quarterly review circulated to instructors.

Website

This site sets no analytics or advertising cookies and carries no tracking scripts. Photographs load from an external image host, which receives your IP address as part of delivering the image.

Who sees it

Assessment outcomes are shared with the awarding body where you are entered for a credential, and with your employer where the employer has paid for the course — you are told at enrollment when that applies. We do not sell information and we do not share it for marketing.

Your choices

Write to [email protected] to ask what we hold, to correct it, or to ask for deletion of anything we are not required to retain. We answer within thirty days.
