Riverbend ground is the school site. Sandy Mush stems is a leased stand twenty minutes north-west, used for rigging and rescue work that needs taller timber.

A day on the ground

07:45 gear check and briefing. 08:15 into the trees. Lunch is on site at 12:30 — bring your own or use the truck that comes down the road at noon. Afternoon session runs to 16:30, then a debrief and a kit inspection before anybody drives home.

Days are physical. Candidates on the basic course typically make eight to twelve ascents across the week.

Weather

Courses run in rain. They do not run in lightning, sustained winds above 25 mph, or ice on the stems. If we stand a day down for weather it is rescheduled at no charge, and we make that call by 06:30 so nobody drives in for nothing.

Cancellations

More than 28 days out, full refund. Between 28 and 14 days, half. Inside 14 days the seat is charged, but it transfers to another block within twelve months if you tell us before the start date.
